Experience LTC: Experience LTC is a unique way for high school students to see first-hand the different programs of study that LTC offers. In addition to meeting a number of the staff and instructors, students get a hands-on experience in two LTC programs of their choice. The day ends with a free pizza lunch and entertainment for the students. Students are invited to attend the event on November 12th, 2009 and February 11th, 2010.
Career Expo: This event is open to all high school sophomores in Manitowoc County and other surrounding schools. Career Expo is a time for sophomores to learn about a specific career cluster and the occupations that fall under that specific cluster. Students are also able to meet with local employers, learn about their college options, and learn about a variety of careers from local people working in those fields. This year’s Career Expo will be hosted by LTC on January 7th and 8th, 2010.
Career Connections: This event is open to all high school sophomores in Sheboygan County. It offers sophomores the opportunity to learn about occupations which they are interested pursuing. Local business people and politicians present to groups of students about their career and answer any questions they may have. LTC co-sponsors this event along with many area businesses, Chambers and post-secondary institutions. This year’s event will take place on January 7th and 12th at UW-Sheboygan.
Parents’ Night: Parents’ Night is an informational session designed especially for parents of high school juniors and seniors. LTC’s Parents’ Night provides valuable information about technical college advantages, life in the college classroom, as well as information on the cost of your local technical college. Representatives from LTC’s student services department, including counseling and admissions, are available to answer the specific questions related to LTC.
