Tech Prep Partnership Projects


Lakeshore Area Tech Prep Consortium is pleased to offer your school district up to $640 in funds to be used for a partnership project (formerly mini-grants). This is to be used by educators serving students in grades 7-12.

Some possibilities for uses include, but are not limited to:

Conferences/Workshops

• Careers Conference

Curriculum/Career Projects

Software purchases (some examples are listed)

• Virtual Business - Retailing
• Tech Ed – CAD
• Business Education – SAM
• Career Exploration


Non-Traditional Occupations/Special Needs

Costs can include:
• Staff time outside of school contract (paid at the district rate)
• Printing of materials
• Other expenses related to activity

Funds may NOT be used for:
• Purchasing equipment
• Renewal of software subscriptions or licenses
• Obtaining graduate credit


To be eligible for the money, the following form and support information must be submitted to the Tech Prep office by February 3, 2006. The Tech Prep office, along with personnel from the Governor’s Work-Based Learning Board, will review the applications.
